Iryna Spica is a highly experienced professional book designer, typesetter, and illustrator based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She has spent over 20 years specializing in interior layout, cover design, and eBook formatting for Canadian authors. She bases much of her work on studies showing that consumers spend an average of eight seconds or less looking at a book cover before deciding to move on. Her layouts focus on creating an easy-to-read, professional, and visually engaging reading experience across multiple digital and print formats.

She operates her own boutique book design studio, SpicaBookDesign, based out of Victoria.

She works primarily with industry-standard design tools, including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
