Manolis Aligizakis (Emmanuel Aligizakis) is a prominent Greek-Canadian poet, author, and translator. Born in the village of Kolymbari on the island of Crete in 1947, he immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, in 1973. He is widely recognized as one of the most prolific writer-poets of the Greek diaspora, having published dozens of poetry collections, novels, and major translation works.
